“He’s late.” The man grumbled, looking at the clock on his phone. “He said he was going to be.” His sister said, looking over the enormous menu. “Calm down, will ya?” “Swear to god, he’ll be late to his own funeral.” The man propped the menu up on the table, so it looked like he was hiding. “He’ll run in, apologize for being four hours late, and hop into the coffin.” His sister didn’t laugh. She never found jokes about their father dying funny. It didn’t matter to her that their father was in a good place mentally now. Hell, she gets upset when their own father joked like that! “Lighten up, Lu. He’s fine.” The man lightly nudged her in the ribs. She looked at him. Her lime green eyes were brimming with worry.
